I have been cleaning my sewing room. It is a great thing except......I have found more partially started projects to add to my list. 29 projects all in some stage of completion is crazy! The good thing? At least that is all of them. Now that I know the down and dirty I can dig in and get some finished. My goal is to not start anything else. Why oh why is it so fun to start a project? Wish I loved to finish them as much. Lol.

Frustrated with a capital F!
Ok, I love the colors, I think it's really a great start, BUT....it's only 20 inches high. How, oh how can I be a whole inch off? Character! I'm building loads of it! Lol.
Now to decide....burn it in Jane's fire or keep going and pretend it's right?? Oh...I've just had an ephany! Wine! Have a glass then it might look straight!
Hope your day is less wonky!!

Really? Oh my!
I can't believe I have this many quilts....all in some stage of done-ness! My goal for 2014? To finish most of these. I know I need to start a baby quilt or two also. These babies keep coming! An anniversary quilt or two will also need to be made or taken part in. It looks like it will be a great year.
Stay tuned for progress.

Winter is here!
Whatever that means. I think it's warmer now that it's officially winter. What happened to the snow? Winter vacation brings lazy days of sewing, visiting and I for one am loving it every minute!
These are snippets of my living room and the quilt I would like to finish this week.
Hope your time is happy every minute too....who ever or where ever you are!

The re-doing bug!
The re-doing bug has hit. Thinking about how to refresh my house. A new paint color might be in my future for a few accent walls. Sara bought me these new, well... Old chairs and I love them.

Summer wrap up.
Just a few weeks of summer left. What a wonderful summer it's been. I've went on a quilt retreat, to a quilt show in Montana, camping.....so many fun things with so many good friends. Flat head lake was beautiful. The quilt show was a little covered up (plastic due to rain). Camping started out rainy (see pic) but ended up lovely. All in all, wonderful. Don't get me wrong, I would take another month or two in a heart beat, but fabulous!

School's out for summer...
80 days to do only as I please..well, kinda. Today I'm doing just what I please and it is in the form of finding my sewing room. I think I like it. It feels less crowded and more user friendly. I wish I could say that for the bathroom. Ordered a new shelf, hopefully that will help.
My goals for the summer are; paint bedrooms, garage sale, walk, study, service and sew a lot with friends! The trick for me seems to be, to squeeze every moment out of everyday but savor it too.
Here's to savoring!

New....well old is a better word.
Starting to look like home. You can see by the light bulbs hanging, still have things to buy and work to do. I can't wait for spring break, time to putter and get things feeling really "homey".

Hold on to your friends
This picture is so fitting for Blake...he loves his friend Amos and just has to hold on to him. Sometimes with his mouth. Lol. I have been reminded yet again how much I need my friends . What would i do without them? Everyone of them is so special to me. I want to Hold on to them too...although not with my mouth...hehe. So my dear friends, THANKS for all you do. Being there, and always sharing a laugh along the way! You rock!

New obsession!
Ok so I have a new obsession. My awesome friend marge can figure anything out. I have been wanting to try inklingo. Marge helped me. inklingo is a PDF, I guess, that you can print on your fabric from. The coolest thing is your sewing lines are there when you go to sew your little pieces. I tried it first with my machine...do ya see the PUCKERS? Well, that won't work. By hand, it's a miracle! They went together so easy. For me that is saying something! No puckers aka boobs in my y seams. Yay!!

I have been working on Bonnie Hunter's easy street. It is slow going. Lots of fun though. Amos went missing for three days, he finally came home and his friend was SO happy! Me too......
