Maiden voyage...
I have been reflecting about many things today after our talks. The power of positive thinking, or negative. Time to look on the bright side. So here goes the bright stuff,
I know the truth! What more could I ask for?
I have true friends that make me feel loved.
The gift of gab...it's a gift right? I feel like I have forgotten this recently.
Family...ugh, there is always hope as long as we are alive, we are all very alive! Thank goodness!!
Time.....need to step this up! I will do better.
Enough, good things to be positive about, nice that I know what I should work on......

bummer!!
We had a great lesson today on endurance....good thing. Going to need to put every word of it into practice. Tomorrow looks worse because, Todd told me no shower with the septic out. Boo hoo!
At least we have coffee and creamer. One more good thing, with all the rain no one will know if it is the weather or a bad hair day. Umph...........

Paint, paint, paint...
Todd has been working really hard. Me, not so much....but I have been living in a really big mess.
It is hard for me not to be really grumpy when it is so messy at home.
There is a light at the end of our dusty, grimy tunnel. The carpet should get laid this week and almost all of the painting is done. We can get the house staged and ready for the realtor to come back. Bring on the realtors viewing! I SO hope it sells at super speed.

Demo done!
Well you can see the mess we have. Demo is done and the dry wall patches have started. I will post pictures when this gets put back together. I forgot how big the house was before the apartment. I have been decorating the new house in my dreams. Pictures of that to come too.

Moving on
I have loved this house. It has changed a lot since we moved in. Thinking about that, my family has changed a lot since we moved in. Drew was in the fourth grade and Sara was in 7th. I actually enjoy change. We are putting the house on the market. The Realtor is coming Friday. The new house is not ready to move in and this one is not ready to be on the market. We have loads of work to do. I love the process...paint, counter tops.... the whole thing. The only thing I will miss is the fish & the neighbors. I hope we can dig a new pond and come get a few of them (the swimmers) from the new owner. Simplifying will be the goal but in a lovely way.

Bliss
Quick progress
OK for me this is going quick. The new pieces aren't sewn down yet but half prepped. I'm on a mission today for starch and a paint brush....then the finishing touches of prep can be done. What a lovely morning. The sun is out and the sky is even blue! What a beautiful Monday morning.

Show post legally!
So...this is my big purchase. I watched an applique queen and loved her techniques so I bought her stuff. The picture of Jane Candace and I is SO not my favorite. I should put it on my fridge so I stop eating!
Show!

Civil war
My civil war stash is growing. You see...I sew with a group of friends and we have secret pals. Mine gave me this great bundle. They must know me well. Can't wait to see them sewn into bow ties. Picture to follow.....

Yep and again
That's the room. Three posts but...what can I say. I have enough room to put another table for a friends machine too. Wanna come sew?
My new sewing room
I guess I can only load one picture at a time. Seems crazy. I love my new sewing space. I meant to show all walls but maybe in three different posts.
Blogger! Not really my friend

So Blake and I are really enjoying the morning. Stitching for me, napping for Blake. The good life. 12 more "egg flowers" to go!

Sara has her keys and has started working on her new house. It is a wreck now, but promises to be adorable with Todd's help. Pictures of that from my phone too.
Happy stitching.

It's just little. To learn to hand quilt with. We will see. I hope marge will be glad she gave me the frame. I also hope I will use it enough to justify the room in my dinning room.
The quilt I really want to load. Want to cross hatch the middle and feather the boarders.

Hazen's anniversary
I forgot this picture. It was really tardy for their anniversary but better late than never. The whole group worked on this one. I love it and hope Hazen does too.
OK, so I want to use this site to save pictures of my quilts.....here goes, not sure why the pictures loaded before my text. Oh well.
The 1st quilt is tiny, a doll quilt just for fun.
The 2nd quilt was a mystery led by my friend Marge. It was loads of fun!
The 3rd quilt is another mystery led by another friend Candace. It was lots of work...we seemed to make segments for ever. It is one of my favorites!
The 4th one is Dizzy Geese. I started this at a retreat, the teacher was terrible! Thank goodness the other girls in the class were great quilters. Funny who you learn things from.
The 5th quilt is Todd's aka Mr Wonderful! He loves the outdoors and is a mighty hunter. This quilt has two layers of batting and I don't love it but when it's cold outside it is the first to get drug out.
The next one is a hunters star done on a weekend with the girls.
The 6th one is one of my first quilts. Done for Sara.
The 7th also is Sara's. She loves Asian things so this was my attempt at that.
The 8th was a block exchange......my groups last one. I will be giving this to the next baby that comes along.
Black is Drew's favorite color (or it was when he was younger) It is not bound yet. This one also has two layers of batting. Drew wanted it to be random, it's my idea of random...not Drew's! I learned I don't love solid black.
The next one is mine....happy, happy me! It's not bound yet either. I love it. My new favorite thing is pieced with applique.
The last one is another baby quilt to have ready. I like to do that so I will not have to feel rushed but have something for a gift.
Maybe next time I post pictures I will figure out how to put the text with each picture.......grrrr.
Happy quilting,
Deanna
