Moving on
I have loved this house. It has changed a lot since we moved in. Thinking about that, my family has changed a lot since we moved in. Drew was in the fourth grade and Sara was in 7th. I actually enjoy change. We are putting the house on the market. The Realtor is coming Friday. The new house is not ready to move in and this one is not ready to be on the market. We have loads of work to do. I love the process...paint, counter tops.... the whole thing. The only thing I will miss is the fish & the neighbors. I hope we can dig a new pond and come get a few of them (the swimmers) from the new owner. Simplifying will be the goal but in a lovely way.

Time flies! You have created lovely memories for years! We have all has some fun times together, haven't we?
ReplyDeleteYes Marge, we have. When I stop to think about it I can remember all kinds of laughs....Can't wait to get together and talk about them. Until later...Love ya!
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't seem like it's been that long... I remember fir hollow
ReplyDeleteMe too. I loved that house too. I wonder if there is a lab test to see just how much gypsy is in my blood??
ReplyDeleteFir Hollow...oh the fun memories! Watching cooking shows on PBS, kids playing, staying up late talking, watching you make chicken mole and thinking you were insane to eat that concoction (but it was actually good!), and far too many laughs to count...
ReplyDeleteOoh DEANNA another Fir Hollow memory! Hearing you from across the house hit the snooze button on your alarm clock SO MANY TIMES!! And me thinking...why doesn't she just get up? LOL
ReplyDeleteYep, still do that. Poor Jeannie! Maybe someday I will learn to get up. I even have my phone across the room....I just go crawl back in bed.
ReplyDeleteLets go further back..... remember the little upstairs apartment on Market? We had sign language class there (and I could sit on the floor)
ReplyDeleteI loved that apartment. Funny how the memory of the house can take me right back there. That is where I was pregnant with Sara. Hmm what a great although "barfy" memory.
